Have you always wondered how to make charged water? You can charge clean water with Reiki, and use it to water plants, to drink, and for any other healing work you may be doing. Reiki-Charged water is not hard to make, it just requires intention. I'll show you how.
Churches and other sacred locations charge their waters through prayers and blessings of spirit. If you've ever been out in untouched nature, there is a sacredness to it that also emanates, very similar to what many religious people experience in church. That vibe-y magical feeling is the air crackling with electromagnetic energy that is in harmonic flow. I don't have any scientific evidence that Reiki-Charged water is better, but I love to point people to the inspired work of Dr. Masaru Emoto, and his seminal work, Messages from Water." He physically shows how different words and intentions held by humans directly affect the molecular makeup of water. It's very cool stuff.
HOW TO CHARGE WATER WITH REIKI
I've had students and friends tell me that water tasted sweeter after it had been given Reiki. To charge water, simply pour water into a pitcher, glass, or other vessel. Call in Reiki as you have been taught in Reiki 1 Training, and then lay hands on the side of the water container, until you feel a strong buzzing flow.
When you are ready, hover one hand over the top of the water and use your dominant hand to trace the Reiki symbols above the water. Reflect on the meaning behind the symbols, and allow your heart to simply flow with love.
Stay this way until you feel complete. I find that 15- 20 minutes is what works for me, but I've done the same work in only 5 minutes and it's been just fine.
You can also speak gently to the water, sharing visions of love and positivity. It's important if you do this to stay focused on words that keep you in the present, not in a state of longing or need. I often find the easiest way to do this is to simply share thankfulness and gratitude for the water itself, and for life.
When you are complete, say thank you and put the water away. Make sure to ground your energy by coming back to a meditative posture and sending any excess raised energy into the earth.
WHAT TO DO WITH REIKI WATER
I don't charge all of the water in my house with Reiki. However, I will often charge small amounts to supplement the watering of my plants. I almost always drink Reiki-charged water and juices when I'm feeling under the weather. I will also often charge water quickly before drinking it on an average day. That's as simple as placing my open palm over my water bottle and sending Reiki for 2-3 minutes.
You can also use Reiki-charged water for earth based ceremonies. It makes a wonderful heartfelt offering when poured into the earth for your spiritual & ancestral lineage. I also love to do crystal-gem elixir waters with Reiki, so I will write about that soon.
Once charged, your Reiki water will stay this way unless it is exposed to a harsh repetitive vibration that displaces the energy healing. When my son was a tiny baby, I used to charge some of his baths with Reiki; I don't know that he felt any difference, but it was a lovely way for me to center into gratitude, love, and protection, in motherhood.
